이거 어떻게 하는 건지 전혀 모르겠어.

그래서 내가 그에게 도움을 요청해야 하는 거야.

 

I have absolutely no idea how to do this.

That is why I need to ask him for his help.

 

내가 만약 이걸 어떻게 하는 건지 안다면,

이것을 도와 달라고 그에게 부탁할 필요가 없을 텐데.

 

If I knew how to do this, 

I wouldn't need to ask him to help me with it.

 

우린 어떡할지를 모르겠어. 

그래서 우린 너에게 물어보고 있는 거야.

 

We don't know what to do.

That's why we are asking you.

 

만약 우리가 어떡할지 안다면,

우리가 너에게 물어보고 있지 않겠지.

 

If we knew what to do,

we wouldn't be asking you.

 

난 약간 문제가 있어 

그를 이해하는 것이.

그는 정말 빨리 말을 해.

 

I kind of have trouble understanding him.

He speaks really fast.

 

그가 그렇게 빨리 말을 하지 않는다면,

나는 그리 큰 문제가 있지 않을 텐데 그를 이해하는 것이.

 

If he didn't speak so fast,

I wouldn't have too much trouble understanding him.

 

나의 직장 상사는

완전 재수없는 인간이야. 그래서 내가 그만 두는 것을 생각 중인거야.

 

My boss is such a jerk. 

That is why I am thinking of quitting.

 

그가 그렇게 재수없는 인간이 아니라면, 나는 그만 두는 것을 생각하고 있지 않겠지.

 

If he wasn't such a jerk,

I wouldn't be thinking of quitting.

 

내가 이 말을 하는 유일한 이유는

내가 널 care about 하기 때문이지.

 

The only reason I am saying this 

is because I care about you.

I wouldn't be saying this 

if I didn't care about you.

 

A: 그는 왜 저런 차를 몰고 다니지 않지?

B: 그는 그런 돈이 없어. 만약 있다 해도, 그는 저런 차를 몰고 다니지 않겠지. 그는 그렇게 차에 관심이 없어, 다행이지.

 

A: How come he doesn't drive a car like that?

B: He doesn't have that kind of money. Even If he did, he wouldn't drive a car like that. He isn't really into cars, which is good. 

 

A: 난 너의 brother 가 엄청 돈이 많은 줄 알았어.

B: 그렇다면, 그는 그 비참한 곳에서 일을 하고 있지 않겠지.

 

A: I thought your brother had like tons of money.

B: Well, If he did, he wouldn't be working at that miserable place.

 

A: 그는 filthy rich 하거나 뭐 그런 거 아냐?

B: 그렇다면, 그는 2명의 룸메이트랑 살고 있지 않겠지, 그치?

 

A: Isn't he like filthy rich or something?

B: Well, If he was, he wouldn't be living with two roommates, would he?

 

A: 너 거기서 돈 많이 벌고 있는 거 아니니?

B: 그러면, 내가 몰고 다니는 차를 여전히 몰고 다니지는 않겠지, 그치?

 

A: Aren't you making a lot of money there?

B: Well, If I were, I wouldn't still be driving the car that I drive, would I?

 

A: 그가 소문만큼 뛰어나다고 넌 진짜 생각하니?

B: Well, 그가 그만큼 실력이 뛰어나면, 그들은 절대 그가 떠나게 두지 않았겠지.

 

A: Do you really think he is as good as they say?

B: Well, If he were that good, they never would have let him go.

 

A: 그래서, 너 오늘 밤 그가 그거 하는 거 도와 줄 계획이니?

B: 난 못해 일 가야 하거든.

B: 나도 그럴 수 있으면 좋겠지만 일 해야 해.

 

A: So, Are you gonna help him with the stuff tonight?

B: I can't I have to go to work.

B: I wish I could  but I have to work.

 

A: 나 좀 도와줄래 이거?

B: 그럴텐데, 근데 내가 직장으로 들어가봐야 해.

 

A: Can you give me a hand with some of this stuff?

B: I would but I gotta go into work.

 

A: 난 my brother 에게 this thing 을 처리해 달라고 하려 했어. 

   근데 그가 날 도와주기에는 너무 바빠.

B: 그래서, 너 그거 어쩌려고?

A: 몰라, 넌 어쩌겠니 니가 만약 내 입장이라면?

 

A: I was going to ask my brother to take care of this thing for me. But he is too busy to help me.

B: So, what are you going to do about it?

A: I don't know, what would you do if you were in my shoes?

 

난 그리 잘하지 않아

뭐 만드는 거.

만약 그러면,

내가 이걸 직접 하고 있겠지.

 

I  am not really good at making things.

If I was, I would be doing this myself.

 

A: 나 그에게 매력을 느껴 왜냐하면 난 그가 옷 입는 스타일이 맘에 들어.

B: 너 지금 말하는 거니 만약 그가 옷 입는 스타일대로 옷을 입지 않는다면, 그에게 관심이 없을 거라고?

A: Well, 관심있겠지. 근데 그만큼은 아니겠지.

 

A: I am attracted to him because I love the way he dresses.

B: Are you saying that if he didn't dress the way he does, you woldn't be interested in him?

A: Well, I would be But not as much.
