Blue 11 : What would you say? (would/could)

난 너에게 물어보지 않았어 왜냐하면 두려웠어 니가 안 된다고 할까 봐.

 

I didn't ask you because I was afraid you were gonna say no.

 

A: 왜 넌 그녀에게 먼저 물어보지 않았니?

B: 왜냐하면, 만약 내가 그녀에게 물어보았다면, 그녀가 반대했을 거니까.

 

A: Why didn't you ask her first? 

B:  Because if I had asked her, she would have said no.

 

난 그들에게 말하지 않았어. 그들이 그냥 안 된다고 했을거야.

 

I never told them. They just would have said no.

 

만약 내가 너에게 물어봤으면, 넌 yes라고 했을 거니?

Well, you could take her some place nice or you could get her something fancy. (답지)

 

니가 할 수 있는 것이 뭔지 아니? 그 위에 화장을 해서 가리는 거야.
